SNAP benefits will not be issued in November until the government reopens. We are in great need of the following items:

  • Canned meats
  • Peanut butter & jelly
  • Heart canned soups 
  • Rice
  • Oatmeal and cereal
  • Shelf-stable milk
  • Canned fruits/vegetables
  • Snack items like granola bars, fruit snacks, apple sauce and microwave popcorn 
  • Boxed macaroni and cheese
  • Diapers
  • Formula

Please do not place fresh foods (i.e. baked goods, fresh produce, etc.) in trash bags when donating. Trash bags are not graded for food and cause chemicals to leach into the food.

Please note, the Food Bank of Delaware cannot accept hard candy, lollipops, soda in cans and bottles, chocolate bars or pieces, gum and soft candy such as marshmallows, caramels, taffy, licorice, gummy items, savory snacks such as chips puffed cheese snacks, pork rinds and sweet snacks including cakes, cookies, donuts, ice cream, pastries and popsicles.
