Community gardening is a great way to help Delawareans in need. A cooperative
partnership between the University of Delaware, College of Agriculture and Natural
Resources, Food Bank of Delaware, Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners and
CANR Ag College Council has been established to plant A Garden for the Community
at the University of Delaware's agro-ecology teaching complex. All produce grown will be
donated directly to the Food Bank of Delaware.
Volunteers are needed! To help volunteer at the garden, please contact Liz Irwin at
volunteer@fbd.org or call (302) 292-1305 ext 215. Volunteers will start planting crops
May 15-16.
Gardening supply donations are also needed. Please click here for a list of needed
supplies. Volunteers may bring supplies to the planting kickoff.
