The Food Bank of Delaware has experienced immense change in the last year. From opening the new facility at 222 Lake Drive to launching the Discover Café, the Food Bank seems to have endless new initiatives, their farm stand being their latest.

The farm stand at the Food Bank of Delaware in Newark is the place to go for your fruit, vegetable, and locally-produced food needs. It has everything you could possibly need to satisfy your fruit and veggie desires including a variety of fresh produce from Fifer Orchards and Highland Orchards, as well as tomatoes and peppers from the Food Bank’s on-site, 4-acre farm.

The farm stand also carries a variety of locally-made cheeses from Chesapeake Gold Farm, ice cream from Woodside Farm Creamery, Jams from Backyard Jams and Jellies, and much more.

By purchasing from the Food Bank’s farm stand you are supporting the Food Bank’s social enterprise initiatives, all proceeds benefiting the Food Bank’s workforce development programs.

Visit the stand any Thursday or Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
